The Dish on Nathalie Lete

6 Jan

A special edition plate by Parisian artist Nathalie Lete.

I fell in love with Nathalie Lete’s work after I saw one of her special edition plates she did for Anthropologie. It featured a dog in the middle and was handpainted. I knew right away it was French. It had this whimsical charm and I could defintely picture it in a wooden cabinet in a suburb right outside of Paris. With that said, the artist did turn out to be French and yes, she is in fact based in Paris. Lete’s work is very kitch (http://www.nathalie-lete.com/) and if you are into pieces with a “crafty” vibe, she is defintely an artist worth familarizing yourself with.

Here are my favorite works from her:

The special edition plates, available at Anthropologie. The dog one is sold out. I'm sad.
