Trip to the Moon

19 May

I recently watched A Trip to the Moon, a 1902 French silent short film written and directed by George Melies. The images are absolutely  unforgettable and it was one of the first films that used animation and special effects.

I especially love when the comet comes crashing down, the glittery gowns that the girls wear on the moon and of course the classic moment when the rocket goes right into the moon’s eye.
